September: Baby Elle's Sprinkle!!

Baby Elle was celebrated this past weekend with close friends & family, and I couldn't have asked for a better "sprinkle"!  I hosted the sprinkle at my house while my MIL & SIL cooked all the brunch food and my Mom arranged all the tables/chairs/flowers to perfection...I really felt like I was having a Pinterest worthy baby shower!  We also had our custom PBarn couch delivered TWO days before the event which was a lifesaver when it came to present opening and additional seating.  The theme colors were blush, white, black and gold and brunch style!

Special Thank you! 💋 To Everyone that cooked, planned, decorated, and attended to make Elle's Sprinkle a success : )

8 Months Prego: 4 Weeks to Go!

And I couldn't be happier than I'm scheduled for a cesarean delivery on Week 39!  I'm officially heavier now than I ever was pregnant with Jack (only by a couple pounds thankfully) and definitely feeling the baby putting pressure on my body, but of course she's totally worth it : )  My "sprinkle" was this week at our house and I had the best time- Jack went with Dad to the park & lunch while I was able to eat brunch and open tons of baby girl clothes, it was the best Sunday ever!

Month/Week: 8 Months, 100 weeks pregnant
Total Weight Gain:
Feeling: Ok in the mornings, sore by night fall!  And like I could be ok with having the baby tomorrow ha....
Missing: a full night's sleep without turning from side to side and bathroom breaks
Cravings: Cereal and fruity candy, I must be stopped!
Anything making you queasy: Red meat anything and tea in the mornings : (
I'm Loving: that I'm able to deliver Elle one week early, which not only means we get to meet her earlier but that I won't have to endure 39+ weeks of pregnancy!
Happy or Moody: Happy and....a little moody
Gender: Girl
Symptoms: Indigestion is at an all time WORST
Sleep: Pretty decent except when Elle won't fall asleep at night, but she sleeps through the night pretty well so I hope that's a clue of what's to come!
Wedding Rings On Still?:  No....just my engagement ring now
Looking forward to: Besides the obvious, going to the pumpkin patches with Jackson and buying all of our fun Halloween decorations to go around our new house- we have heard that our neighborhood is crazy with decorating so I couldn't be more excited!  We also decided to do a potluck at our house with close family that will hopefully become tradition for years to come!

Lost Lake: Camping never felt so good!

Travis finally convinced me to go camping this summer!  Our terms were as long as I didn't have to sleep in a tent pregnant and/or with a toddler I'd go- and he found Lost Lake!  About an hour off the highway in the middle of nowhere, with a gorgeous lake and 8 "lodge" rooms, I couldn't have been happier with this hidden campsite!  We went early Saturday morning and stayed until Sunday, just one night because we weren't totally sure how Jack would do but everything went really well! Jack LOVED it there- especially the midnight (ok it was dark) flashlight walk where he saw snakes, a witch in the trees, and a bear....we are totally looking forward to going again now next summer too!

August: 18 Months Old, Officially One & a Half!! :)

I have been soaking up EVERY moment I have with this little guy as just a party of 2 during the day while I'm home before his baby sister arrives!  He's becoming even more independent, and definitely lets us know his displeasure with something with a "No Momma!"  He has been obsessed with the "ya-ya" (playgrounds) lately, going on walks, riding around with his window down looking for trucks & construction machines, and overall being such a joy to be around every day!

Age: 18 Months
Weight/Size: 25.5 lbs
Favorite Words: Boo!, Cheese,  Puffs, Teeth, Ya-Ya, Uh-Oh, saying the Alphabet and his favorite letter "O"
Favorite Activities:  Water table in the backyard, going to the ya-ya, watching a Jake & the Neverland Pirates episode before nap/bedtime, watching the Minions on Despicable Me
Signature Moves: He started jumping up & down a few days ago which is super funny to watch because he still doesn't quite have it down
Likes: Music in his highchair during meals or in a store that he can dance to, pushing a shopping cart around a store, taking the dog for walks around the neighborhood, his stuffed animal chair "Bobby" and having play dates with other kids!
Dislikes: When Dee-Dee won't read books with us
Mommy Likes & Dislikes:  Jack kissing "the baby" in my stomach and letting "the baby" have toys, I think he will be SUCH a great older brother!  I am also loving snuggles at night before bed when we watch a short cartoon to settle him down for the night. Dislikes: There is honestly nothing I dislike about this age, I've said it before that this is my all-time favorite age!!
Sleeps: Bath around 7:30 & 8:30ish bedtime (Thanks to OR summers), 7:30am wake, naps 1-3
Changes in Mood/Behavior: I swear he understands all English now, it's SO great to communicate with him and he actually understands me- which will be really good when the baby comes in two short months I think??
Eating: Sippy cup of milk 3x/day, favorites right now are strawberries & carrots, and anything he can stab with his fork
Clothes: Still squeezing into our 12-18 clothes, the shorts & short sleeve shirts are perfect since he's slim but long so we are getting good use out of them
Looking forward to:  Painting little baby Elle's nursery this week!!  Jackson has been rolling everything in site in preparation, I can't wait to really see her room come together! :)
